Coronavirus Update - 7.24.20
Issued July 24, 2020 at 4:00 p.m. CST
We want to provide an update on an exposure to COVID-19 within our Querencia community. We learned Thursday, July 23, that one of our team members tested positive for COVID-19. By way of recap, we have a total of four team member cases of the virus, and all are self-isolating at home with the support of our Human Resources team.
As previously communicated, there remain two active resident cases of the virus in Querencia at this time, one is being cared for in our Plaza and the other is self-isolating in their home.
We understand that you have concerns about COVID-19 and the current situation in our community, and many of you have questions. Please know we continue in our commitment to protect the health and safety of our residents and team members. Our team continues to be proactive in mitigating the risk of further exposure to the virus within our community.
As cases of COVID-19 have increased in Texas, Lifespace and Querencia continue to follow heightened infection control guidelines. We encourage everyone to practice social distancing, and please remember to wear a mask or face covering when you interact with others in public settings. Proper hand hygiene including handwashing and the use of alcohol-based hand sanitizer are essential to preventing the spread of infection. As we have done throughout the last several weeks, we will regularly communicate updates about our efforts to maintain a safe and healthy community.
We appreciate your support and continued adherence to the protocols we have implemented to protect our residents and team members. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the Querencia management team.
Thank you.
